I have a question about the way colleges look at your course load.

When i was making my schedule for this yr (junior), i originally had my 3 APs (apush, calc ab, eng lang/comp) and AP chem.....however, i decided that i would take physics instead so that i would have my 3 core sciences done in my first 3 yrs (bio - 9, chem -10, phys -11) and then double up on AP chem and AP bio next year.

If i had taken AP chem this year, the weight of the ap (which is 5% more than honors (honors physics)), would have helped my gpa a little more (103.8 instead of like 103.67) and i would have had 4 APs instead of 3.

Nonetheless, i am still taking Ap chem and ap bio next year, along with 3 other aps, and maybe another if i can share the chem and bio labs with gym {apchem, apbio, aplit, apcalcbc, ap spanish, (and maybe ap psych) }.

I'm sort of regretting that i didnt take a 4th ap this year. But my question is, would it even matter since i will have ~9 APs on my transcript (3 for junior, and 6 for senior)? Also, is 9 (and 3 for junior yr) impressive for IVY-caliber? i know grades matter in the courses (i have mid to high 90s in all my APs).

Thanks for any help!
