She is a HS senior who has been accepted to several schools already w/ scholarships. She was undecided about major but knew she liked art/and humanities type programs. She is now trying to learn about art therapy and looking into psycology/ social work.

She has been accepted in Fordham and is also considering Salve Regina a small private school in RI. She was also accepted @ Trinity College but the fin aid pkg is not enough for our family to send her there.

She is finalizing w/ a decision between Fordham and Salve but neither of these schools look especially strong in Psycology. She applied here for the strong humanities. It's too late to start applying anywhere else. But one of the small schools she applied to( Emmanuel College in Boston) offers a B.A. in Art Therapy...but doesn't want to go to boston.

How would someone pursue a career as an art therapist?

Undergrad Psycology w/ grad school specializing in Art and PhD Psycology? Shorter ave w/ a M.A? Veer off into social work or education?

Any Art Therapists out there?

Thanks
