Hi, I am an average student (think Bs in freshman/sophomore year, then A- average junior year, my school doesn’t give out GPAs so I have no idea what mine is) with a 34 ACT score and excellent extracurriculars at a very competitive/good private school in New York. My question is, since my father is a professor at the medical school of an Ivy League school I’m interested in, will/how much will that effect my chances of admissions of i applied ED to this school?
Is your dad a clinical professor with adjunct affiliation or is he paid by the medical school? Also is he tenured ?
If answers are yes to both then your chances are pretty good.
You need to be up to snuff, it’s about you first, not your father. And there are those B’s. (Depends on what they’re in.) What do you really know about what this school looks for, have you put some muscle into this? You aren’t the first recent kid asking this tip question.
