My daughter got into College of Human Ecology

My daughter just got accepted to Cornell. We are waiting on financial aid package. We are African American and I make less than 40K. does Cornell have the same program like the other ivies where you don't have to pay if you make less than 40K.

I'd like to know too. I'm a junior now, planning on applying ED next year, and my family makes less than 40k a year.
i'd also like to know what "don't have to pay" entails if this is true - are they going to slam us with loans and work-study (although you can refuse w-s, right? but then your loans or EFC probably go up, and not grants?)

Welcome and Congratulations!

The Financial Award Detemination page seems to indicate that some Family and Student Contribution is requested.

The following quote is found on "The Cornell Tradition" web page.
"I have always been in favour of combining labour and study."
Ezra Cornell, 1846.

Since you will have to decide soon, it would be a good idea to contact the Financial Aid office to see what package they are offering.
