my dilemma

hey, i think all these years of slacking has taken a toll on my study skills. You see, just these past couple of months, ive actually tried to take good notes on the the texts that im studying. However, the outlines I make for myself don't really serve a purpose since i usually don't look at them after i take them prolly cuz im too worried about missing important facts. My question is, should i just focus on learning the material by just reading and reviewing with outlines from the internet, or force myself to develop my study and note-taking skills?

To simply answer this, YES.

It wasn't a yes or no questions.....

You've got to figure out which works better for you. Try them both and figure out which you like better.

hmm i think BSing my notes is better for me, but im worried about when i get into college when i will be cramming A LOT. any other opinions?

Cramming works for some people. Like the other poster said, figure what works for you. I've created 25 page outlines of a whole semester course in two or three days with no time to actually study it prior to an exam and done well. For me, the studying is in the creating and writing of the outline but that could be b/c I am a writer and used to thinking that way. Once I organize the material well enough to put it on paper, I know it. However, some people I knew just read and studied outlines created by others and they did well too b/c that's how they learn.
