<p>The fact that you qualify as an “alcoholic” in college because you do what many kids do in college–drink too much, fail to study, do something dumb when out drinking does not say alcoholic to me. If you continue to do that after college then you have a problem. Most don’t and settle into a a more adult pattern. What does Knight say about that? Kind of like gay till graduation at Smith.</p>
<p>hey, mini…so you define heavy drinking as 2 or more drinks daily. All the research I have read defines 2 drinks as moderate drinking…even 1-3 drinks for males. So what’s the deal?
Most research say 2 drinks per day for males is actually healthy. Granted, I don’t think most college kids drink that way but I’m trying to keep an open mind. I personally don’t drink everyday and tend to think of folks who do as having some sort of problem (gvine some history in my family). But I’m starting to change my thinking. Alcohol is clearly dangerous…but it’s not all bad for those who can moderate:<br>
