My favorite book is...

I didn’t like Brave New World at all

Some people told me it was good, some people bad…

I LOVE The Little Prince. It’s deep and heartwarming and I cry every time I read it.

^We get to read that in French class this year! I’m really excited because I’ve heard how good it is. Lol. So it’s really that good?

^ Is it strange that I read that when I was really little? Though it wasn’t in English.

@widtor2896, just depends on the person in my opinion. I thought it was different and interesting, so generally good.

A Remembrance of Things Past

/pedantry

has anyone read house of leaves?

Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince)

School Books: Great Gatsby
Other: Eldest (HP is close second)

I used to love Artemis fowl but I read the first three books this past summer (at 16 years old) and it didn’t have the same appeal as it did 3-4 years ago.

Can’t choose, but my favorite author is Terry Pratchett, and I love Harry Potter for the rich fanfic world it’s inspired.

A recent book I read that I really liked was The Demon’s Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan. It’s the second book in a series, so it’s surprising that it’s so good-- second books usually aren’t.

^^I know what you’re talking about. -sigh- I loved Arty so much.

Love your taste in books. Only one I haven’t read is The Ruins

I actually heavily preferred Great Expectations

^Didn’t like Great Expectations as much…there were certain parts I liked (e.g. the description of his mouth being like a mailbox) but it didn’t have the same intricacy of language that TOTC had

I also have a highly unpopular opinion that I’d like to voice…I did not love Harry Potter. I mean they were * alright * but I’ve read better books…anyone care to explain the obsession?

And yes Artemis was awesome :)

I really liked the Hunger Games series too! That was greeeat.

the kama sutra

nah probably the last lecture

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned A Clockwork Orange. It’s kind of similar to Slaughterhouse Five and 1984 (you know, all of those psychological aspects). I remember when I was reading the first couple of pages, all of the weird slang in the book made me want to rip my hair out. But after you get used to it, its really a great book. I finished it in a couple of hours because it was so good.

I am a big fan of Tolkien, Rothfuss, and Paolini.

^^dystopian/utopian aspects kinda thing right?

Did you see the movie? It was interesting.
