My final schedule (oh and a Q about basketball)

So, I've pretty much finalized my fall schedule (basketball question is below):

Bio 105 (Mathematical Applications in Biology):
This might seem like a strange choice, but it fits well in my book. I'll be headed towards the Bio major, and this should cover a Bio elective. Plus, it counts as a Natural Sciences (NS) and Quantitative Studies (QS) credit, so I won't have to take Math 103. Math103 is a prerequisite for this class, but I already took differential equations and Calc2 in high school, so I should be able to handle it.

German 1:
Instead of taking Spanish, which is what I studied in high school, I've decided to learn a new language. I was thinking about taking Chinese 1, because I thought that it might be useful later on, but I want to keep my sanity next year.

Writing 20:
Gotta take it. And because I have first window, I'm gonna go ahead and pick Genetics and Society, cuz it sounds pretty cool.

Chem21L:
One of those requirements for the Bio major. Four of the required chem courses for the bio major automatically give you a chem minor, btw, for those who don't know. Too bad I didn't take AP Chem in high school.

What do you think?

Oh and the basketball question. Basically, how does the whole process work? Is tenting a MUST for every game, and is there really a huge shortage of tickets? I just want an overview of the whole process.

Tenting only gets you into two games - UNC and one other (one year tenting was ONLY for UNC). See K-ville - Student Link for the details. There's NOT a huge shortage for any game except UNC. The vast majority of the games you can walk in 30 min before tipoff (or even at tipoff). You'd be surprised at how many people DON'T go to any games. The policy is constantly changing, so there's no point in me giving a long description for them to change it. In fact, they changed it mid-year last year, so who knows. For non-tenting games, there will be some combination of online validation the night before, wristband the night before, or a standard walk-up line (50% of your group needs to be in line at all times, 90 min before tipoff everybody is supposed to be there). If you want to go to every game, it should be no problem at all (except UNC or if huge football recruits and their families take up half of student section, which happens one game a year, it seems).

Schedule looks fine (good luck in Bio 105, seems interesting). Agree with above on basketball games - only thing is if you go 30 minutes before tipoff don't hope to get the best place to stand.

Just a small pointer. It doesn't seem immediately clear that you may possibly be aware, but you could only use ONE Area of Knowledge if the class has multiple ones. Granted in your case, I still wouldn't worry, for I would use that class to fulfill the QS requirement, and not worry about NS because you'll get rid of those quickly with a Bio Major (if you do fulfill two science classes before changing your mind, that is).

Oh, and a mini question. Do you have to somehow... immediately "choose" which , of multiple, Area of Knowledges that you want a certain class to be fulfilled? Like, if a class has ALP and CZ... and I'm not sure which requirement will be easier to meet later on, will there be any self-inflicting problems?

Thanks for the replies. RevDem, as far as I know, the computer system automatically finds the "best fit" for you, so you don't have to designate anything.
