Woot! My Duke schedule, so far, is as follows:

Bio 93FCS Global Diseases (Global Focus)
PubPol 81 FCS Intl Law and Health (Global Focus)
Bio 99FCS Discussion (Focus)
Chem 31L + Chem 31L9
Music 70 (Music appreciation/listening class)

I don't really know my major at this point, but I'm thinking of neuroscience or something else biological; I'm a premed. That fourth class is on a whim, and I'm thinking of changing it to something more, I dunno, "academic". My options are Neurosci 101 Biological Bases of Behavior, Math 103 Multivariable Calculus, or Span 63 Intermediate Spanish. My preferred choice, Polsci 93D got taken (thanks, everyone who wants to listen to a high-level Bush/Clinton advisor talk about Chinese food!)

I have the prereqs for all the classes. Music 70 sounds like a fun class and something light to offset Focus, but I wonder if it would be a better strategy to get all my requirements out of the way first. Any insight into how hard these classes actually are, and if a student already in Focus can handle it?

Finally, I've heard conflicting things about following math past Calc I and II. Due to a 4 on the AP Calc BC test, I've placed out of Math 31 and 32. My summer advisor said that I could choose not to take math anymore as most med schools take AP credit, but I'd like to supplement my score just to be sure. Should I continue with math at Duke in Math 103, etc., or can I just take an easier course at a local CC over the summer?
