My GPA

So, this semester my GPA dropped to a 3.36. I have taken Gen Chem, O chem, and Bio, some upper division science classes, and many humanities courses. I have just finished up my second year at UC Berkeley, with an A in Gen Chem, 2 Cs in O chem, 2 Cs in Bio, and the rest an assortment of more As than Bs. Like it would to anyone else, the Cs have really discouraged me tremendously. Many think that it's better to get the worst during your freshman year, when you're supposedly trying to adjust to the college setting, but that's the year that I think I shined since the Cs happened come sophomore year. Also, what does my getting As in the lab components of the science classes that I received the Cs in mean? The Question: Do you think I still have a chance? Also, what does my getting As in the lab components of the science classes that I received the Cs in mean?

I still think you have a chance. Just try to explain what happened that semester in you personal statement, so they can understand. As for getting A's in the lab, I dont see any real benefit except that you understood the lab material better than the lecture material.

I think 4 C's to a 3.36 might well be too much, especially since he's probably a CA resident.

i don't think you should apply with a 3.36. if you can bring that number to a 3.6 after junior year, then I would apply.

Is that mathematically feasible?
