My guidance counselor says I should not obsess about wharton.Chance = about 0.

well, yes, they'll see me 1200 and 1700.

but o well, they're supposed to disregard the SATI , if i dont submit it.
I will only "write down" the ACT.

chanman - I agree with the posts made by Carolyn/MomoFour. Certainly apply - don't ever let anyone tell you not to. In addition to what the other posters said look into the fin aid situation also. If you will be needing fin aid then you don't want to get accepted to these schools and not be able to go because of financing. I'm sure you have noticed that there are other students who now have no college to attend this fall because they didn't check out other schools. There are so many great schools in this country - make sure you check them out too.

I'm not sure what to make of your EC list either. Maybe just list community service: ? hours and list the organizations, and just pick the ones you are really seriously involved in (put most time into). I think most colleges look at ECs to see what you are interested in and your list is just too long. If I was an AdCom I would be thinking that you had too many other things to do when you should have put more time into some of the classes you didn't do so well in. Then again, who knows. I think the admissions process comes down to filling areas that are under-represented, areas that need blank many students, and just plain old good luck.

You also don't need to submit your SAT results if your ACT's are what you want to send to the college. Just make sure you remind your counselor so he/she doesn't send them by mistake on you school report that he/she sends to the college! Good luck!
