My last school that I am waiting to hear back from is Loyola Marymount University in LA. This year they have received more applications than ever (and by a great amount too). I was deferred from Early Action to Regular Decision and this Friday will mark about 4 months of waiting. My GPA (senior year included) is near a 3.65 and my SAT is 1660 (M: 530 CR: 520 W: 610). This university places great emphasis on a 1000-word limit essay and I put a lot of time and revision into it and neared the word limit. Does anyone have any familiarity with this university or perhaps a suggestion of why this decision is taking so long? This is my number one choice and I have put a lot of faith into getting in. Any feedback or insight is very appreciated!
I have pretty similar stats to you just a little higher SAT and have no heard back about an admission decision for my application either. Please help us!

I believe they will have all decisions announced by April 1. With rolling admissions, if you’re sort of in the middle of the applicant pool, you are typically the last to hear back, so I would think that is most likely the case? So it isn’t necessarily a bad thing… it just means you’re not one of the 4.0+ students or one of the “why did this person even apply” students. I know it is extremely nerve-wracking to keep waiting. Best of luck to you both!
