LOL, and he's made more posts since this one...

Way to take the "high road" there, ace!

Doogie - go away. Duffman doesn't want you ruining his thread by yelling at people who are giving him advice.

Well, this is lame, to say the least.

Are there any souls out there that have an opinion on the matter of my subject line and OP? It would be greatly appreciated to have more than one actual response to my topic.

Thanks,

Ben

Duffman, you are spamming, and that's against the rules of the forum.

You've already found out your answer to your college chances, 6 times! Why are you still asking? You even went into each college folder, and asked for your chances. You have a general idea of your colleges and your chances. Reassuring you of your chances would be a waste of not only my, yours, but all the posters here's time.

I second that. You already know your chances, Duffman. You have had plenty of response in all of the threads that you have posted.

who made you two boss?

Yeah, I'm sorry, but this is the ONLY time I have posted for my chances at all these schools, my final list, with a request for an EXACT response, not the vague, "well idk" responses that I got before, and in the previous posts, I had to try and bump them constantly to get any responses, and ended up getting very little input.

yea i hear yea, just keep bumping.

C in Precal, ouch.

I don't know much about those colleges, you have a shot at them I'd say.

^ Thank you for some actual input.

I know the C sucks, but I was sick for about two weeks.

i dont know about the others because i only have insight on schools my brother applied to, but for BC...id say waitlisted.

I didn't mean to be condescending, math isn't everyone's thing, and if you were sick for two weeks it's understandable.

If you want more specificity, Brandeis, Tufts and BC will be tough for you. The rest you have a shot at, Wake Forest if you develop a relationship with the debate coach, or if that is as big as you say at their school.

Could you do me a favor and go post in my thread, I'm having trouble getting replies.

No, it's fine, and yeah, I know, those are the three I'm worried about, but I'm applying EA to BC, just not sure if doing ED to one of the others (Brandeis, Tufts) is a good idea because of my financial situation...

At some schools applying ED or EA helps even if you are def. b/c the school remembers that you wanted to go there.

Yeah, I just don't know if I want to put myself into that financial situation. Which school do you think I should apply ED to, to increase my chances: Tufts, Brandeis, or Wake?

If you have any financial questions do not apply ED, that's all I can tell you. You won't have the opportunity to negotiate financial aid.

lol when can you negotiate financial aid cause i have a bone to pick with the GW people!

50 grand! what am i donald trump!

Yeah, I suppose you're right, but it's unfortunate because if I applied ED to Tufts or Brandeis, I'd increase my chances of getting in greatly. Hmm..what to do, what to do...

Doogie311 - you can send an appeal to the financial aid office for more aid (GWs tuition is pretty ridiculous). I have a friend attending NYU, who wanted to go but felt initially that the funds she was going to receive were too insubstantial to allow her to enroll. She sent an appeal, they sent her more money. It doesn't always work, but it's worth a shot.

Also, just a thought to the posters like A2Wolves6 & GreenDayFan - if you have a problem with a thread, and feel that its existence is preventing others from getting the help and input they need, why don't you stop bumping it? I don't see how you can consider it spamming when the majority of the posts are coming from the two of you. Moreover, I have personally found it difficult not to make multiple posts, regardless of whether or not they cover the same topic, simply because, more often than not, the responses are vague and don't really give me the answers I'm seeking. People get off topic and start discussing things like whether or not Bush legitimately won the election, and then, in spite of having people come to my board, I don't really have any actual information regarding my chances of getting into a school.

well put srcameron
