my May SAT subject test scores just came out, dont know if i need to retake it?

hello everyone,

my SAT Subject Test scores just came out.
i got a 780 out of 800 in physics, and 800 out of 800 in Math II.

im a little bit worried about my physics score actually.
i dont know if it will be enough for some top schools.

thanks

don’t worry your physics score is great for top schools, and i’m not just saying that. Once you are over 750, it really isn’t worth retaking it. good job.

I think your Physics score is fine (great actually). Honestly, I don’t think a 20 point improvement would impress top colleges any more than the 780 does.

I see, thanks everyone!

I got a 760 Physics and I’m extremely happy (accompanied with 800 in Math 2 & 800 in US History). All of us need to relax and realize that we are not meant to be perfect, that our flaws serve to make us human. A college will not reject you b/c of 20 pts on a Subject Tests (I don’t even think they would do that with normal SAT)

A 780 in phyics is great, and don’t allow these tests to make you think less of yourself. My friend got a 780 in Math 2, yet he has consistently beaten me at every Math competition by about 20 points (which is a 5? diff) and he actually won at state level (on every test) while I got nary a recognition. Do you think those 20 points on SAT make me better than him? Definitely not, he is still the better mathematician (I luckily one up him in the humanities, social sciences, and physics) and colleges will know this.

a 780 and an 800 have no significant difference. maybe you should stop worrying about your sat 2 and get a life, or some poon tang

^yes, that makes sense. go find someone to sleep with you because it’s between that and worrying about standardised tests.
Unless poontang is as important as they suggest it is in Full Metal Jacket.

780 is good for physics. Like coolblues said, 750-790 there’s no reason to retake, except maybe math
