My mother works for the UC system

BISP being Biology - Special Studies;

You're going to be doing things regarding behavioral pharmacology, fear conditioning, place preference, forgetting curves, knockout gene behavioral neuroscience, etc. Things you encounter in BioPsych, Physio, and Pharm.

You will be working with the grad students (both are great and very friendly) and will actually get to see Stephan on a regular basis regarding new developments in the lab, guest speakers, conferences, etc.

To enroll in these types of courses, you just need to go to tritonlink.ucsd.edu, go to forms, and download and print the Special Studies (99/199) form. Complete this and after you get a professor to give you the thumbs up, have him of her fill the rest out and turn it into your respective dept (either Psyc or Bio, depending on where you want the credit to be).

Besides that, feel free to PM me on logistical stuff.

Ah how interesting! Thank you very much for the information. I'll definitely look into it.

Anytime. Not enough people are interested in research (we're one of the top research universities and no one seems to notice that on campus), so it's fun to disseminate this information to those who genuinely want to pursue this path.

To be honest I've never done anything like it before, though I'm very excited by the idea. I mean I have plenty of laboratory experience from class(chem, bio, even physics >_>), but conducting my own research? Sounds fun!
