I hope this is worthy of a new thread-- I found out the following from a phone call this morning to UC Davis:

1) UC Davis has already made ALL of their decisions.

2) The recent releases were mostly TAGs.

3) The last decisions will be released "MID-APRIL".

4) Academic renewal candidates (like me): It is likely that you will be able to appeal Davis's decision, but there is also a chance that they will not accept appeals this year. Gotta wait and see.

that’s not what i meant. there could be more decisions released between now and “mid-april”, but he assured me that all of them would be released by then.

It has already been proven that we cannot trust the words coming from college reps. However, this info is not really anything that we didn’t already know, so I’ll go along with it.

I really don’t know why they release so slowly. But here’s a theory I have: based on the SIRs they receive from the first group, a sample, they decide how many other students to admit. You know, they gauge interest.

Or, they’re just less likely to make mistakes and get fewer phone calls if they do it in batches. Yeah, the latter is more likely.

hahahah i think its not due to the SIR because most of the people are still waitng for B and LA … so i dont think that would matter ?! but just my opinion
