I would say I lost it, but I really don't know how I could have. Yesterday, Friday, I brought my new camera (that I bought the day before with the money I've been saving up for forever) to school and left it in my car because I was going to a friend's house after school. However, I didn't think to grab it when I went in to her house, and when I looked this morning, it was gone!!!

I have noooo idea what to do, I've spent so much time saving up for that camera. It's the weirdest thing. It went in my car and I never even opened the door on that side, and now it's gone!!! I have searched my entire car about 8 times--I just don't know what's happened to it.

Should I report this to the school or something??? I'm so upset ahhhhhh

You sure no one broke into your car? I had a friend who had just gotten in the car when she realized that she forgot something in her locker. She got out, closed the door, and ran in the school building to get a small book. It was no more than five minutes later when she got back into the car and noticed that her whole car stereo had been stolen. Her biggest mistake was not locking the car. If you didn't lock it, it's possible that someone stole your camera. Otherwise, I have no clue.

I'm so sorry to hear. This is sort of what happened to me this week. I lost my TI-89 Titanium . . only I'm positive someone borrowed it, while in my house, and maybe didn't return it . . I asked everyone that entered our house this week, and no luck. I searched every place I went to this week, no luck. My parents were so angry, and I was pretty sad cuz (this is really dorky) but I'm pretty attached to my calculator .. I've had it for 2 years and it's never ceased to give me the right answer when I'm stumped you know . .

so yesterday I had to buy a new one . . I hated the way that my parents made me feel so incompetent though. The day I bought it was the same day my brother bought his Xbox . . I mean that in itself doesn't immediately scream "incompetence" . . but whatever, I'll keep the receipt, if I find the old one, I can return it. I'm really sorry to hear about your camera though, it's an awful feeling when you lose something pretty expensive . . search everywhere you've gone since you last saw it, and ask any person who might have seen it .. and you can even alert your school's secretary to keep a watch for it, if they find it, they will keep it in the school safe for you until you come and claim it. Offer a reward if possible, that might prompt people to bring it back if it's more than the cost of the camera. . other than that . . I think you're out of luck, because I don't think warranties cover "lost" items :(
(but you can always check, I could be wrong)

Yes
unless I've become senile. I have an automatic clicker thing so I always do it automatically. It's not like I have to take the time to manually lock it, so there's no reason I wouldn't have. Also, my wallet was sitting right beside it and it's untouched, so I don't see why anyone who wanted to grab my camera wouldn't take my wallet.

a normal kodak digital camera, it was about $300.

i really do hope it will show up!!

today, i checked and no one had turned it in, so i've kind of almost lost hope. but for the next few days, they're announcing it on the intercom and on our tv news program, and me and my friends put up signs around school. i'm still hoping!!!
