I take 5 classes, English 4, Photography, French 4, Spanish AP Lang, and Calculus AB AP.
I will get A’s (hopefully) in 3/5 classes. One B. But one D in Calculus.
Do you think I won’t get accepted into any University of California school with that one faltering grade?
And also, not related to chances, but should I drop calculus?
Which UC? Berkley, LA, SB, SD, Irvine?
I applied to UCLA, SD and SB. But I have an athletic scholarship for SB.
@whiterose00 what are your other stats? I.E cumulative GPA, SAT/ACT/SAT II, etc.
@ShawnLooch GPA is 3.76, Act score is a 28. well i took 3 honors classes in the past 2 years. i think my essays are pretty solid. i’m a hispanic female going into math and first generation (bonus).
I think you’ll be good to go at UCSD and UCSB. UCLA will definitely be a little tougher with your scores, and a D will not help you in Calc if your intended major is math.

@ShawnLooch I’ll have to notify the schools I applied to of course. I had a rough start to the year so it affected the rest of the semester. Would it be right if I drop the class and take calculus regular the second semester?
