So, this will not be on my transcript, but mY PLAN (Pre ACT) sucked. Out of 32, my composite score was 18 in the 64th percentile. I'm in 9th Grade, and I know that the PLAN test is really for 10th Graders. I also took only one month of Algebra and no Geometry classes, so that could have affected my math score. I only took one month of Earth Science and no Bio, Chem, Physics, etc., so I really don't know how that would have affected my science score. However, I am really worried about my scores. This is because some of those who were in the bottom of class in GPA did better than me (I'm in the top 25%, at least).

On your PLAN, look at the college readiness benchmarks. (I don’t know what they are on the PLAN off the top of my head.) Remember that the benchmarks are 10th grade benchmarks. Did you meet the benchmarks? Look on the back of the score report and look at the suggestions of things that you can do to improve in each area. Are you a reader? Your reading score is pretty low and strong readers usually do better. You should be reading every day. If you already read a lot, read harder or different kinds of material. It may be that you ran out of time on the reading test. If that is the case, see if you can get some help at school in increasing your reading speed. The math score will improve just by the fact that you will have learned more math by the time you take the test next year.

Do not fret! My DD had a terrible PLAN score- she did no preparation, was sickish, and sort of stubbornly uninterested in test performance. In junior year, she awoke, and voila, an excellent score. You will be fine.
