CR. Missed 3 … 790 … :\ … and for one of the questions I had put down the right answer but I erased it ! And if I only learn to leave questions blank on CR!!! I was a quarter of a raw point away from a 800!

A shoutout to Larry Krieger: Your 300 essential words FB page really helped on the CR :D!

Dear diary:

I’m so glad today is Friday :). I was so excited when grading my practice test, which I printed out this time :D. I think that printing out the test contributed significantly to my score increase - the computer screen is really harsh on the eyes. And plus, I couldn’t annotate the passages or draw stuff in the math sections when I took previous tests on the computer.

I was really really excited when grading the test. If there is anything that can describe how I feel, it is this video (the music is incredible):

I cannot describe how I felt when I was grading the second math section. I had aced the second math section, and I kept praying that the next problem would be correct :D! I would literally have slapped myself if I had gotten a math problem wrong because the math felt easy and I had already aced one section! And when I was on the last math section, I cannot describe the feeling! I was on a roller coaster that was ascending toward its zenith. One problem wrong, and there goes my 800. I was literally afraid to peek at the answer to the last math problem because I didn’t want to get it wrong. Fortunately, I got it right :p.

More critically, however, I feel as if my score could fluctuate given a harder CR or writing section. The vocab was mostly easy - I nailed the vocab thanks to Larry Krieger’s 300 Words FB page and Direct Hits. There was one SC, however, that I was not sure about, but fortunately I had narrowed it down to two choices and made the right choice :p. I was also a bit iffy on a couple of writing questions, so I hope I do not get a tricky writing section this January. As far as the essay goes - I graded mine pretty leniently … I still have a long ways to go before I can write a 12 essay. And the math - I wrestled with a couple of hard problems - but fortunately I got the best of the problems. There wasn’t really anything I hadn’t seen before - just the usual suspects - but in any case I need to brush up further on math. Exposure is everything. Once you see enough SAT math problems, you’ll know what the question wants from you and you’ll know how to derive the answer.

Warm regards :),
