My SAT Career

So, I actually have an encouraging story for all who are unconfident about the SAT.
Sophomore PSAT: 162
Junior PSAT: 220

But, on with my real concern: the December SAT.
So, so far it looks like I have -1 writing, probable 9-12 on essay (subjectively), -2 to -5 on crit reading (somewhat of a choke), and -7 on math, ABSOLUTE CHOKE. Any predictions for my overall score? Also, I consistently got 800s on math practice tests, so I can easily get that up next time I take...My plan is to retake in March...hopefully improve...but, if I usually get 2100-2250s on practice tests...is it feasible to consider the 2400? And, is taking 3 times really overkill, and is it in any way negative to my application?

it’s not really encouraging when you go up so drastically over the course of a year

some of us don’t have that much time to study. but if you can, can you outline what you did to improve? i commend you for doing so awesome!

Well, I didn’t study for the PSAT…I just got wayyyy better at test taking somehow…I guess I had what you’d call a SAT “growth spurt”

That’s a good reading and writing score. Fix up that math. There’s no point shooting for the 2400 if it will cost you many trials, especially since there’s a huge element of luck involved with the 2400.

I’m sure one more try will get you the results you want. Keep up the good work bro.

Thanks a lot!
