May 3rd Sat

Hey, the may test is in 2 weeks!!!
How do you guys feel about it and the prep? Just curious

confident.
going to break the 2k barrier :D

Not too sure right now, I'll wait until it gets closer. I want to do at least 2 or 3 more practice tests out of the blue book; I've only done one so far. I'm looking for at least a 2150, if not a 2200.

Nice. I just want to get around 2100. It be pretty cool if the curve is not so harsh this time around

1st time taking the SAT. Heck, I think I'm going to puke.
Seriously, I hope I score 2300+

If you've taken the PSAT, you should have a very good indication of what your sat will be.
My PSAT score was identical to my SAT.

3rd time and last time .. 1) 2030 2) 2110 .. i really don't think i'm going to prep this time .. i just don't feel it will help and i just don't feel like preparing .. maybe ill look at some vocab haha

PSAT: 198

im taking it. i havent really done any prep yet. i plan on doing a practice test tomorrow. eh, i hope to score 2150+. 2200 would be even better.

I went to a recruting night recently and a gentleman from Princeton and a gentleman from Georgetown said they don't even look at the writing score - and that most colleges and universities don't. They judge your writing by the essays you submit as part of your application.

For admissions purposes, they take into account the math and the critical reading so you might be wise to think about your scores on the 1600 scale.

"gentlemen" as in admissions officers? and i wouldn't blow off the writing section because a lot of universities do take the SAT out of 2400 i.e. UPenn, JHU, Columbia, Harvard, and a lot of other top universities. But then other schools like Georgetown don't look at the writing section at all. So i think it would be best to look into every college you're applying to and see whether they consider the writing section or not, that would be wise.

Honestly, screwed. I am not good at math but very good in both English and Writing. I've only taken it once before and I am worried that my testing scores will not improve. 1) 2060. 2) ?

what do you mean by "the curve"???

first time taker, and i haven't studied yet! ahh, it's in a couple of days onlyy! i would try finding time to study if only ap testing didn't start next week &if my school wasn't doing those stupid statewide "star" tests. ><"

oh, and according to collegeboard, the "curve" doesn't reallyy change according to who takes it, etc? like, it's the same every time?
