I know my SAT is rather low but please chance me!
and do you guys think I should try once more in December (it'll be my 4th time taking it) or do you think I should focus more about IB work ? =/

Thanks in advance!

for USC/Michigan/UIUC id say your a high match/low reach. combo of middle of the road GPA/SATs could either make or break you

other three colleges should be your safeties.

good depth in EC's without stretching yourself thin. dont worry about ur SAT yoll be fine

Thanks daman!
I hope my SAT score is fine =/

anyone else?

dude your application will depend on predicted grades right? I suggest you concentrate on IB right now to get good predicteds. As you have already given the sat thrice, it doesnt make sense to do it once more. the improvement has a low probability of being substantial. A good predicted can balance out the sat score problem.

by the way many of my friends are enrolled in usc, michigan and bloomington. Their sats were in the 1800-2000 range too. But good ib predicteds, essays and recos pushed their case.

How did you convert your ib score into a gpa?

I'm going to be sending in my predicted scores as part of my transcript
and I'm hoping to get a pretty decent score because I have been working hard more with schools work rather than SATs..

I don't know how to convert the IB scores because my school doesn't give out IB scores other than predicted grades, so everything's GPA

I'm curious- you say your essay will be great, but your best writing score is a 630??? That seems strange; I'm an OK writer at best, and got a 720 on my first/only try. Did you simply get lots of multiple choice wrong?

yeah, I think I got lots of multiple choice questions wrong..all my essay scores were like 10 though =/ and I'm probably going to have lots of people read over my essay so at the end I'm hoping that my essays will be between good and great =) crosses fingers
