My school didn't include my first term grades with my transcript!

I was told by my guidance counselor, principal, and everyone else who works at my high school to get my transcripts as early as humanly possible. So I did.
Well, as it turns out, I got them too early, and my first term grades weren't with them. And I need those to finish my applications.
So, uh...what do I do? Can I fax my first term grades to my schools, or do I have to get a new set of transcripts? I am so frustrated right now, please someone help me ):<

I think you should email the admissions office at one of the schools you’re applying to and ask them, then do what they suggest for all your applications. I don’t think it’s that big a deal–you might have to fax the updated transcript later, but that’s not that much of a hassle.

um… midyear report

I think you’re a little confused!
Your initial application should include a transcript that has all your grades from freshman through junior year. This application, unless you are applying realllly late, will not, and should not, include the grades from the first semester of senior year.

Now, you’re talking about the mid-year report. This will include your transcript, though you need to check with each school, as some request an additional “Mid Year Report” form that must be filled out by a counselor. Many colleges request this (either transcript or transcript+midyear report) to be sent around this time- usually throughout the month of February. You’re not late or passed the deadline!

So just send an updated transcript, with a mid year report form if required, to the schools. You can really use whatever method you’d normally use, whether that be mail or fax. Schools want them ASAP, so earlier is better, but you certainly are not going to be late, even if you used snailmail. My first term grades aren’t even released for another two weeks.
