Hey i was really interested in computer science and programming. However my school took it away. Can you guys tell me advice and links on how to get started! TIA!

Do the courses at community college, self study, etc.

i was looking for something online. nothing formal. just for fun.

If you already have a grasp on programming, you can try the following:
Project Euler/url
Sample Problems/url

If you want to start from the beginning, you should look for reference and self-help books at your library and online, as well as support forums for your programming language. I’d recommend starting out with either Java or C++. For most people, learning in a classroom setting under the guidance of a competent professor is probably the best way to learn your first language. After that, it gets easier to teach yourself. The following are a few places you can start looking:
Programming and Web Development Help | DreamInCode.net/url
Learn Java online with Java Beginner Tutorial/url
Learn C++ -/url

Don’t forget to download the IDE for whichever language you’re learning. Examples include:
JCreator — Java IDE/url
Code::Blocks (for C++)

Thanks! More input is welcomed.

I’m guessing you’re not floridian? They offer AP Comp Sci on FLVS, but you have to pay for out of state.

If you want to learn python, I’d recommend [How to Think Like a Computer Scientist — How to Think Like a Computer Scientist: Learning with Python v2nd Edition documentation](How to Think Like a Computer Scientist — How to Think Like a Computer Scientist: Learning with Python 2nd Edition documentation)

i actually live in florida. i’m just iffy aout taking ap class online via flvs.
