I'll admit I slacked off in respect to informing my counselor of my MIT app, but I did get the teacher recommendations/evaluations done and I'm working on the application (I'll have it in for sure before the deadline). What I need to know is: Can my counselor send my transcripts and the secondary school report on January 6th? After we come back from break? I understand that I made an extremely irresponsible mistake, but please do not nag me on that. Simply let me know the answer to my question.

You will be fine.

This is from the MIT admissions page:
It is perfectly fine if, through no fault of your own, your school forms (e.g. teacher recommendations, secondary school report, transcript) come in after the January 1 deadline. We’re understanding and flexible with your teachers and counselors because we know they are super busy. We are less flexible with applicants because we assume you’re on top of this.

hhmmm ok thanks. But technically this is my fault and my counselor will be signing “1/6/13” on the forms… I’m still good though?

I’m applying this year as well so I’m not quite sure. Just focus on getting it in ASAP and you should be fine. Good luck.

I don’t think it would be an issue.

Yes, this will be fine. This is not an issue in the least.

sweet, thanks guys, youre life savers

yay!!! im on the same boat as u, brother!
