So this semester, here are my grades... i ve been admitted to cal and UCLA for econ and math/econ major respectiveley.
As projected, here will be my grades for my courses
Macro-economics and Sociology - A (taking for second time at another college after recieving Bs b4)
Second course in english - A
French 3 - B
Art Appreciation - A
Here comes the problems
Differential Eqn and Calculus III - C in each
so i know inspite of these grades, my gpa will be around 3.5 range.

SO i jus want to know if these grades will affect my transfer...
let me know
I just nervous coz of the guilt of getting C's since I had never gotten a C before... now I have 2!

well, m econ major so i dunno why exactly i took 25c and 35. But id taken aguilera in fall 08, but her grading, her teaching technique is excellently horrible!.. so i m driving all the way to LA mission for calc III
However, i believe tht some other guy is coming in fall and taking over linear and DE… idk abt him, but DE with Enriqes was awesome!

damn shes that bad? if you don’t mind, do you remember how her grading percentages were broken down? like what percentage of the grade did homework, tests, and quizes make up?

Her grading outline is pretty fair.
But she cannot teach for nuts, i mean, i could actually learn more calculus by watching a plant grow. She expected too much from students, well that was my personal perception. Maybe it was because i was an econ major, and she expected the students to have a engineering background. That is why i dropped Linear Algebra also.
If your 25B and Physics backgrounds is pretty strong, it should be an easy B/C

^I am pretty sure UCs to not recognize nor will accept grades taken from classes that you already received a B in. Is this a special circumstance?

no special circumstance
i just took those courses for my own sake, since i knew where i exactly messed up. Was just too lazy. SO i mentioned in my application tht i would be retaking them for my own peace of mind…
So i ended up taking em at other colleges…
But it was kind of funny, inspite of having recieved a B in macro in fall, in my transfer agreement at UCI, it was mentioned tht I had to get a B or better in Macro-economics… it looked as if they agreed with the fact tht i felt sorry for my grades, and i had the desire/potential to get better.
So i took sociology over the winter, and macro at another college over the spring.
My counsellor moreever told me tht it looked good to the admission officers that i had taken steps to retake some courses. SO although it doesnt look good on paper, it looks the student look a dedicated student
