my shot at getting in?

GPA: 3.85 UW

My school doesn't rank

Classes: Took 3 APs junior year and 3 senior year, which is basically the most you can take while still fulfulling graduation requirements. Got an A or A- in all AP classes.

Clubs/Sports/Volunteer/EC: Tennis Varsity letter 4 years, captain senior year, won two state championships. Writer for school newspaper for 2 years. Played cello, first chair in school orchestra. Part of Young Life(religious organization) for four years. Registered voters for 08 presidential race. Volunteer teaching tennis to kids. Volunteered last summer teaching English to foreign grade schoolers (I wrote my essay about that).

Test Scores: 34 ACT, 35 English, 33 Math, 35 Reading, 34 Science, 9 Writing. 5 on AP Calc AB, 5 on AP US, 4 on AP Spanish Language.

If you have any idea how I'd fare as far as admissions, any input would be appreciated, especially from people who've heard and have comparable stats.

My freshman gpa was a 4.0, while sophomore year was about a 3.7 and junior year was a 3.8, and my 1st semester senior gpa is a 3.9, which shows an upward trend starting in sophomore year.

Also, unfortunately I didn't decide Rice was my top choice until after it was too late to get an interview, but do you think sending them an email expressing my regret would have any impact?

I highly doubt it.

Regarding your application, stats put you in range to get in. You have a good set of EC’s that show commitment and balance.
