My Villanova Laptop Crashed - Urgent, Help Please!

My Villanova-provided Dell Latitude E6400 has crashed. It fell off of my bed (about 4 feet) and landed on the floor right-side up. A day later, I got the blue screen of death, and when I tried to restart I got an error message claiming "internal hard disk drive not found." With my hard drive not being detected, I can't boot up at all.

I figured that since the laptop fell, there must be something loose on the inside. All I have attempted so far is to reseat the hard drive (i.e. - take it out and put it back in). No luck. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going crazy without my laptop. Thanks in advanced...

um…tech zone?

Yea, my understanding is that one of the reasons why Villanova provides everyone the same laptop was so it was easy for their tech support to help people with problems.

Sounds like you need a new HD. Tech Zone should be abl to fix you right up. Hopefully you have your documents backed up somewhere.

and the best part about the tech zone? as long as you didnt totally screw up your computer the tz work is gratis
