I heard from multiple sources that the MIT Application forms were going to be released on August 19th. When I checked both the Admissions site and MyMIT account earlier this morning, though, I found no new information regarding the essay questions, or the official package I need to put together. I would like to get this all finished up before the summer break is over; can someone help me please?

The application is available on MYMIT. Do you have an account and have you logged in?

<a href=“MIT Admissions”>MIT Admissions;

I have logged in. This is what MyMIT account looks like right now: http://i.imgur.com/Ge8Bc.png

Are you sure you registered yourself as applying for the Class of 2016?

Are you registered as a senior?

Right after logon we see prompts

apply online & application tracking
register for an overnight campus visit
register for a day visit to campus

Ah, I fixed it! Thank you, I was registered to enter MIT in 2013 (wrong). I changed it to 2012, and it showed the prompts as you said.

I am curious - did you instantly get assigned an interviewer?

I was, though I haven’t scheduled for one yet - I will though. Will this person always be my interviewer?

I was just curious. It sounds like the system automatically assigns an interviewer which is what I was wondering since you just changed your year from 2013 to 2012.

MIT requires you to make the contact yourself to set up the interview.
