Name recognition of your undergrad school for jobs in big cities?

<p>How much does the name recognition of your undergrad school matter for getting jobs in big cities? I understand that there's countless different industries, thus countless different perspectives, but just in general, how important is the name recognition of your school? If you go to a middle of the road/above average LAC and graduate with excellent grades and internship experience, is it difficult to find a job in a big city such as NYC or Chicago? Or do graduates from elite schools get jobs much easier?</p>
