<p>I would think so, especially if you've got a deep interest in that branch of science. As long as the project isn't something like "Changes in the appearance of a deceased and rapidly rotting Guinea Pig", it really can't hurt.</p>
<p>it also adds some specificity for your work and what you are recognized for, and adds credibility for your award.</p>
