I am wondering if anyone has information regarding the cut off scores for national achievement. I got a 197 and I live in Texas is it possible that I could be national achievement semifinalist?

you're safe!
wish me luck, too.

Yes, luck to everyone. I hope you get( I hope I get it as well).

I live in Texas... I think a 191 is the mark that chnges you from referred to a semi-finalist for the achievemnt program.. I know finalist for the achievement program and most made 195- 210.

Thanks that is a huge relief, thank GOD for it is only by HIM.

Does anyone know what the achievement cut offs are for Oklahoma?

Correct me if im wrong, but i think you have to be at least 96 percentile in the country to even be considered for semi-finalist based on state. Usually the cutoff is about 200 for the 96 percentile.

The cut offs are per state for both the National Merit and the National Acheivement, but the cut offs for the Acheivement may be different. The NM does not post the indexes for the Acheivements as they do the Merits, yet by listening to Acheivement winners from across the US in other blogs, the cut off scores are not the same as the Merit cut offs. I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen the cut offs and indexes for the Acheivements.

^^^ does this mean that the cut-offs are a little lower than National Merit commended (<200) I also scored a 197 and i am having SERIOUS doubts. Looking at the # of National Achievment SF last year for my region-- 468 out of 50k scares me.
