I applied to USC (my dream school) and I'm also a National Achievement Semifinalist (black students who scored well on the PSAT) who named USC as my first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). Am I eligible for the Presidential Half Tuition Scholarship if I become a National Achievement Finalist, or is that strictly for National MERIT finalists? On the website it say merit, but other places have said that national achievement finalists can get it too. Is this true?

Email an admissions rep and ask. They should be able to answer that. Good luck!

@Homie253 Have you heard anything from USC? I am a finalist who applied and was wondering the same thing!
If you qualify for need based aid, it may not make much difference. USC is a full need school. Do you qualify for need based aid?
@uclabound1 I’ll hear from them tomorrow
@mom2collegekids I don’t really qualify for need based aid but we still filled out fafsa for whatever it’s worth since I already have a brother in college
