Does anyone know if you can switch your first choice on the national merit finalist sheet and still get a scholarship from USC? Any information about national merit finalists and scholarships from USC would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can. I can't remember if I had USC down as my first choice or whether I put "another private school in California" that ended up rejecting me though. In any case I got the scholarship without any trouble. Just remember to tell NMSC that you're going somewhere else so they send the check to the right place. (that is, if you get a national merit scholarship too)

I mean, though, USC offers its own scholarships for national merit finalists. Does anybody know about those?

im pretty sure you can still call NMSC and change ur first choice, cuz the univ of ohio sent me a postcard saying its not too late to apply for the scholarship they have for nms finalists. do it fast, though.

That is what I'm talking about, jlampert. I think you can.
