<p>I'm a junior in high school and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to initiate the process for our school to become a chapter of the national english honors society. Would it be another beneficial thing to have on my transcript knowing that i would be accepted? Is it worth the long due process to start a chapter, getting teachers and parents and school officials involved and what not!? </p>

<p>I know there's Spanish NHS, French NHS, Italian NHS etc for all the foreign languages... so if you start an English NHS, wouldn't that just be for people who are fluent in English (ie: most high school students)? Or would only foreign kids be eligible?</p>
