National Merit/Achievement/Hispanic Finalist Awards?

The UofR site reads: First-year students who have chosen the University of Rochester as their first-choice school will receive a university-sponsored renewable scholarship of at least $17,000. The Financial Aid Office will be notified of all recipients during the summer months. If the award is not yet part of the financial aid package, the Financial Aid Office will make the appropriate adjustments when notified of these awards.

So, is this award on TOP of any other merit award you receive and not added until later? Does UofR stack awards or would this be the main award? Has anyone had the Finalist award actually appear on MYRoc or in your aid packages as of yet?

UR only awards one merit scholarship per student. Your UR NMF award will not stack on top of other UR merit.

Once you officially designate UR as your first choice with NMSC, NMSC will notify UR’s FA office and your financial aid package at UR will be adjust to reflect the $17,000 UR-specific NMF award and the one-time $2500 scholarship (if you’re eligible for it) that comes from National Merit Scholarship Corp.

Until you designated UR as your first choice, your NMF award will not appear on MyRoc or in your FA package.
