<p>Since I received the Cornelius scholarship, I also get 2k a year for national merit from Vandy. No other finaid. I received a corporation scholarship from national merit today for 1k a year. Will this cancel out the 2k from Vandy, or will it be 3k? </p>

<p>call financial aid at Vandy…I am sure they have a policy that they apply fairly across the board on national merit…but don’t trust a CC for this answer.</p>

<p>You’d better make that call. I’m pretty sure the NMcorp stipulates that no student can accept more than one kind of award, that is, they must choose one of the three types: NMCorp, private corporation, or school-based if they are offered more than one of them.</p>
<p>As Faline noted, it is the financial aid office at Vanderbilt that handles merit questions.</p>
<p>You will receive only the $2K total. Vandy deducts other National Merit awards from their amount. Same with those who didn’t get the CV scholarship. They receive only a total of $5K NM awards from all NM sources.</p>
