AHHHHH I ... was on spring break and I didn't mail it on/before April 04. Will they hate me forever x(

If you don't make it to that round do they not just contact you period?

@stuckinthemuck , assuming that you're a finalist, if you didn't win the $2500 scholarship, you'll still be considered for college sponsered scholarships, so this round technically isn't over. if you were a semifinalist, they should have contacted you regardless of advancing to finalist position or not.

I'm a finalist. When is notification about college scholarships then? I thought first-choice schools reviewed those who selected them by Mar. 31 also?

they do two batches of college scholarships, i think. i used to have the notification calendar bookmarked but deleted it. if you search for 'steps for 2007 national merit competition' or something like that, you should see a pdf file on the collegeboard website...

does anyone know how I could get my semifinalist ID# and selection unit #? I conveniently forgot to write these down, and I need to change my first choice with yonder yellow postcard. should I just call the agency? has anyone else gone thru this bit yet?

Call with your name, birthday and SSN.

Guys, I was so busy the last couple of weeks (Whole month, actually) that I forgot ALL about National Merit Scholarships! :(

I got a mail saying I got the $2500 scholarship a while ago, but still didn't respond to it.

Sigh.... Does anyone know if I'm still eligible to accept the scholarship?

Will they just take the scholarship and give it to someone else?

Someone please help me out here

Okay so I apologize if this was already answered but I got the 2500 dollars even though I reported UChicago as my first choice, and I am going there for sure, but I want their 1000/year = 4000 over four years instead…so does the fact that they already offered me a National Merit Scholarship from the corporation and not a college sponsored scholarship make it impossible for me to take the college-sponsored 4000?

Call NMCorp…sometimes they’ll let you take theirs for one year, and the $1k/yr for the other 3 years. But, call to see…
