213 got me into NMSQ Semifinals in Arizona, haha.

DD was called by the principal today and received her letter! Hooray!

A 220 in NY definitely made the cutoff, so I don’t think that the number is in question MisterK. SHSENIOR has taken the right step by asking the guidance counselor to research why her son didn’t receive a letter.

Linny…great! Congrats!

SHsenior should contact NMSC directly to see why the name was missed.

My son is NMSF in CA with a 231.

Anybody with 220 as NMSF in NY

SHSENIOR: Cut-off for NY is 219 confirmed. I called NMSC yesterday. It doesn’t matter if your son attends public or private school. Perhaps your son did not check all the appropriate boxes when he took the PSAT. Easily fixed by calling them.

I don’t feel like scrolling through all the posts…any news on the NJ cutoff?

EDIT: Wow, just looked it up and I think I made it by just ONE point. Wow.

I scored a 219 in CO and still haven’t heard about SF standing. Should I be concerned?

Does anyone know what the International cutoff is? I scored a disappointing 220 while at an international school, but am a resident of NC now.

HardWorkPriority:

It appears the International cutoff will be 223 as in the past it has always equaled the highest state cutoff. However this is not “official” and we await confirmation of this from someone.

Ugh…Daughter made a 216 in Texas, and based on historical scores, we really thought she made it. Oh well!

Have contacted school 4x’s about notifying my senior about making semi-finalist and they keep promising to call her down, but have not done so. What should she recieve when she is finally called down. What does the school need to do by Oct 12?

Absolutely! if you (or your child) has a qualfying score, be sure to contact GC and NMCorp…sometimes kids mis-bubble something important…like my son didn’t bubble in that he was a full time student (GC caught that when his PSAT score sheet had a * by his high score). Another mom found out that her kid had stubbornly indicated that he wasn’t going to college after high school, so NMCorp changed that after a request.

Let us see if we can complete the list of states in short order. Volunteer to call the NMSC for one state qualifying score.

The NMSC main telephone number is (847) 866-5100. Sign up below to volunteer to call between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM CT on a weekday and ask for the minimum qualifying score for state X. Post your finding here. The NMSC will not release more than one score per call (in my experience).

Here are the 12 states that are not yet finalized. I have signed up for WI.

AK
DE
IA
ME
MT
NE
NH
ND
SD
UT
WI – Descartesz
WY

If someone posts a qualifying score before you can call then you need not post.
