<p>My sophomore son was invited to join the chapter of this at Virginia Tech. The letter inviting him to join came on Virginia Tech letterhead. There are dues to join. Does anyone know anything about this? Have any personal experience with it? Thanks.</p>

<p>As someone who just spent all day interviewing candidates for a job let me tell you this; absolutely no one will ever, ever, ever care about the society that you joined if you’re not actively involved in it. It can actually hurt you if you end up getting asked about it and stammer out something about it being just something you signed up for.</p>
