Dartmouth is the only Ivy i'm considering because of the strong Native community.
This summer I attended College Horizons at Dartmouth and this October I attended the Native Fly-In program at Dartmouth.
I have a 3.65 UW gpa (but ranked second in my graduating class of 29) and a 30 on the ACT
I'm a registered member of my tribe and about 95% native according to the blood quantum
I'm also captain of the volleyball team, vice president of BPA and Art club, first trumpet in my districts honor band, and class treasurer - if that helps any.
Anything to boost my chances?

Harvard also has a strong native community, though it is smaller. Recommendations and essays- the same thing as any other applicant.

You could look deep into any traditions that you practice and discuss how you can bring that world with you to enhance the existing Native American community, or you may have something else for your essay. I have noticed that many traditions do not look like “traditions” and are more aligned with 21st century living than what we are “told” is a Native American tradition (pow-wows, regalia, etc.). You can focus on things like observing before contributing, honoring elders, importance of family-and how these fit into life in modern American popular culture- what it REALLY is like to be Indian.

Good luck!
