At some schools it could be a significant boost. Check each school’s common data set, section C7, to see if racial/ethnic status is considered.

It is a pretty big boost. Probably the biggest of the minorities (black, hispanic, etc). If you have top SAT scores and have top grades, then you can get in almost anywhere.

2200 SAT guarantees you pretty much any school in America

My sat is 2300 and my ACT is 35…?

It’s really helpful, most schools list that they have 1% or less Native American enrollment and since just being an amazing student isn’t enough, adding the fact that you’re a super minority helps. Some schools don’t look at race, but for the ones that do you’ll have a lot easier time getting in than those with comparable stats, just make sure to put your enrollment number on the app or you lose a lot of prioritt

It may make you competitive, but you aren’t assured a spot in ‘pretty much any school in America’ with that SAT.

Stanford looks at race. I think the Native (American, Hawaiian and Alaskan) population on campus is 2% or so. You still need top GPA, test scores, ECs and essays.

"Some schools don’t look at race, "

Any school that says that they are lying through their teeth. In every school, large organization, they look from the janitorial staff to the upper management the stats for race/gender, and they do the same for students because they report it to the federal government even though it is supposed to be optional. They have to do all type of reports to the government, to different organizations, for grants, reporting to trustees, to alumni, etc.

2300, 35, and NA is a strong combination at any top school.

It would be a particular boost at Dartmouth, because the school was founded back in the 18th century as a school to educate American Indians. The got away from their original mission over the centuries but rediscovered it in the 1970s and set up special programs to encourage and accommodate Native Americans. Given their special eagerness to attract Native Americans coupled with your stats and I’d say your golden for Dartmouth - if the school interests you at all.
