Naturopathic Medicine–is it for me?

Hi! I am in eighth grade, but, being me, I am already thinking about college. I recently attended a conference for women in scince where I signed up for a lecture about Naturopathic Medicine. I thought it sounded really interesting and, though I know there are cases where a medical doctor (by which I mean someone with an MD) would be more fitting, I think naturopathic doctors may be more helpful at times. I have always been interested in medicinal plants and have taken many summer camps about them and plan on taking more. I've been looking online, though, and worry that it may be hard to find work with an ND. Has anyone had this experience? I know I'm thinking way too far ahead, but that's how I am, so I've just embraced it. :) I've also thought about biomedical research and other types of doctors. I know I'm going into a science field, and I think it will likely be medicine-related. I don't really know why I'm posting this, but if anyone has experience with naturopathy, advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
