Navy Federal Credit Union and Direct Deposit

I was looking at all the forms that came with my permit to report package the other day and when looking over the forms for bank accounts at NFCU I noticed that it said that our accounts will switch over to a regular savings account if a direct deposit check isn't received within 60 days. So, my questions are these, should I go ahead and send in the bank application now or wait until later and when do we receive our first paycheck, during plebe summer or at the start of the ac year?

Also, on the application it has in our mailing address filled in, except its missing a PO box number for USNA, will they get that or once again should I wait to send in the account application? One more question, any info on how to fill out the direct deposit slip without account info and who I send the form to?

Thanks,
Nick

Our class filled out the direct deposit forms over plebe summer. I don’t know if they still do that.

As for the P.O. box numbers, we (the detailers) will have the plebes send a letter home within the first four days with their P.O. box number.

Sorry I was not more help.

The direct deposit paperwork is completed on the yard- you will get that during the early weeks of plebe summer.

The PO box number will be issued to you early on- the class of 2010 got theirs with their company assignment, that arrived at home prior to I-Day. Things always change, however, so guess you will find out when it is time for you to know!

USNA2010: do the mom’s and dad’s a big favor, and allow just a few more minutes to write that first letter home! Ours was a hastly scribbled 3 lines, in pencil, on a small assignment-sized piece of paper- and not much on it! You have no idea how anxious the “rents” on the other side of the wall await that letter!
