Congrats Navy!!!

On to Homecoming and Rutgers!!!

The first person I called less than 5 seconds after the game ended was a dad with an Air Force 3rd class there at the game with his son - a very close personal friend. I said 2 things...One, "couldn't help but gloat" over the Navy win. But more importantly...."all I could think of watching each and every young man there on the field, and in the camera pans of all the Mids and Cadets is that each and every one of those young people are going to be serving their country as Military officers. It made me proud to be an American. It made me cry. Yeah, I LOVE cheering: GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY! BEAT AIR FORCE! But I thanked God for each and every Falcon there today as well.

Haha, paper or plastic? :)

Good job midshipmen. Looks like they finally started making you do PT this year at Annapolis. ;)

This coming from Air Force, where the upperclassmen are known for lending their car keys to plebes.

It would seem your alumni magazine is going to need a new cover! ;)

I think GA missed the thread about reading great literature vs. great news. No wonder he's a man of few words. Reading too many doggone rag sheets, even IF they're reporting on a happy day. Me thinks there's only so many ways to say, "flyboys get thumped"

Let's take up a collection and get the boy an encyclopedia brittanica for Xmas. :)

GO NAVY! WHOOP WOOPS!

awh, Whistle Pig, Ya gotta admit, GA is one proud USNA Alum and one fanatical Navy football fan and one good dude to have in our corner!

I called our closest family friend our daughter's mentor and former CAP Commander and Color Guard trainer who has a son in his 2nd year at USAFA---who was there at the game.... at the very end of the game to gloat.

When he returned my call, he said I called during AF's Alma Matre song, and our other former CAP Squadron Commander, USNA Class of '96, called during the singing of Blue and Gold to do the exact same thing.

So the poor guy got it immediately from both of us. Good thing we all know we're REALLY on the same team when all is said and done. :-)

GO NAVY
BEAT AIR FORCE
BEAT ARMY

Apparently you weren't around several months ago when we were being told that the New York Slimes, The Guardian, and other "news"papers were all highly reputable and worthy of being read and believed. ;)

Here's another article about Navy being "lucky" in the defeat of Air Force.

From today's the Rocky Mountain News (another "rag"):
"Im proud to be the coach of the luckiest team in America," Johnson said. "Weve been lucky for four years now. Thats four years in a row anyway you want to look at it."
Wish I'da said it, can't recall who, but it goes something like ...

"Luck is when hard work and opportunity meet."

And maybe some superior athletes and/or coaches??

Whoever. Whatever. It's all cool!

Here's to 4 years of things coming together ... and counting!

GO GOATS! WHOOP WOOPS!

Cut me a break WP! I take some time out for church and come home to find out that you are taking about me behind my back. :D

And yes, the flyboys got their butts kicked!!! Again!!!

Hey, just "raggin" on you, so to speak, GA. I only read 5 papers a day including the Hooterville Howler.

Maybe that's why I never got past grade 8 writing???

Another Air Force-Navy game, another thrilling finish, another narrow victory for the team from Annapolis.
I wouldn't call 7 points a narrow victory. Who are these guys rooting for anyway -- the zomies? They must be getting this year's game confused with last year's game.

Another article from today's Annapolis Capital:

Navy players and coaches have said many times that Air Force talks more trash than any team on the schedule.

Navy quarterback Brian Hampton said Air Force players were up to their old tricks yesterday, constantly talking trash out on the field. Hampton saw extensive action against the Falcons for the first time in his career and was shocked by what was being said.

"All I can think of is one word: Disgusting," said Hampton, refusing to repeat some of the trash talk because it was vulgar in nature. "I'll just say that it wasn't right. I expect (Air Force) to uphold a higher standard. It lets me know what kind of class they have."
Who's the best class? Not the NO CLASS zoomies!!!
