So Navy week is here! It’s kinda nice to greet w/ “Sink Navy!” instead of our squadron greetings. We have a Midshipman in our squad, and so far we took all of her mattresses and bedding. We also filled one of her drawers in her bed with water and filled it with goldfish. Fun so far!

I ask 'cause a family freind's daugther is a middie at AF this semester and I can't wait to hear the stories of the fun she's having at CO. :)

Dknightfam

Haha, then ask about the "CH"...

It's not quite as good as the F-4 paintjob, but it is still good.

A bunch of four degrees stole some navy uniforms and I saw a guy walking to class today in white trousers that were about 4 inches above his ankles. It made my day.:) And the other morning in Mitch's there was a midshipman who apparently had all of his clothes taken from his room and was left only a pair of issued pajamas. He had to wear huge pajamas all day that said "Go Air Force, Sink Navy" on the back in big black letters. Good times.

if anybody saw the sami bed hanging on the staff tower, that was our midshipman's too.

I still can't get over the playing of "Anchor's Away" after Reveille on Monday - well done squids. :)

Did none of you hear about the stadium bleachers? They painted a huge CH in front of Air Force!...which is probably why they all got called to the Comm's conference room today.

Does anyone have any pictures of this?

Hahaha, no, I hadn't heard about that. I'm sure General D was pleased. ;)

Here's a link:

yup i heard about it too.

there are 2 pictures posted at www.usna.org

The dean showed 2010 some pictures of it today. She was rather amused actually. :)

This is a quote from Navy fullback Adam Ballard:

"I don't want to come off like other games aren't important, but it's just different when you're playing Air Force. Some of the things they say, it just rubs you the wrong way," Ballard said. "I'd rather get hit with a baseball bat repeatedly than lose that trophy to Air Force. Army is a little more brotherly-like. There's a little more hate involved with Air ForceŠ on both sides."

Now I hope we don't truly act as disrespectful towards Navy as Ballard claims, and there are many here who can testify to the trash that Navy talks about Air Force as well.

Either way, we can only hope we make Ballard wish he hit himself in the head with a baseball bat instead of coming out to play this Saturday.

Go Air Force! Sink Navy!

The Baltimore Sun newspaper had the picture of stadium "redo", too.

I do suppose it is difficult for Navy to even think about losing to AF. I have often heard that "Chair Force" really referred to the higher academic standards and intellect possessed by Air Force cadets.

Maybe Navy has been hitting themselves with bats for a long time and we just didn't know it. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe they should stop. :) :)

Just a thought! ;)

GO AIR FORCE!!!!! FALCONS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!! SINK NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least our chair is 30k feet above sea level.

GO NAVY!!!!!! Make it 5 years in a row!

...go Air Force, beat Army.

:( Wasn't meant to be today fellow zoomies. Great weather for a game, but a few penalties at the end doomed AF's comeback.

Hi to 07Petko - thanks again to your family for "hosting" my medical turnback son / us at the game. Nice to meet ya Mike! And continued good luck to Pete out there at CS.

Outcome wasn't what we had hoped for but still a fun day.
Enjoyed meeting you and best of luck to your son.
