NCAA Eligibility transcripts

How many transcripts do they require? We have not sent any. Do they need year-end for junior year or do you only have to send senior year transcripts?

We did send Jr yr when prepping for OVs to show eligibility…(also had to send the test scores etc)
I believe we will need to send one for the end of Sr year/final transcript to finalize that

That’s odd - because none of the schools have said she was lacking … but when she went for the signing today, one of the moms thought as I did that you only had to send the 12th grade year end; but another said she sent them at the end of last year too.

I think she’d better stop in and see her GC tomorrow …

Hope this helps…here is also another link, the form and what the college board site says …

Yes, it does. I guess she better get on that. No school tomorrow, will have to wait. Looks like she isn’t in immediate danger for not having done it. Maybe I’ll have her email guidance so she won’t forget on Friday. Good grief. Why does this have to be so complicated !!!

p.s. thanks fogfog!

It’s hard to remember to do this, but you also have to send the 12th grade transcript in so that NCAA will clear them for practice and competition once they get to college in the fall. This can be a pain to arrange once the kid is already at school, so if you can remember to take care of it in the early summer before your high school’s office closes for summer, that’s best.

Our high school sent them for all athletes after graduation on whatever designated day. I remember that we also got an email from the school saying they’d been sent out. It went smoothly. I can’t remember if D verified with NCAA or with the college that they had received them.

If I recall, there were emails from the college coach in late July naming the athletes who needed to follow up to ensure that all of their materials arrived on time.

DD sent 7th semester transcipts to NCAA Clearinghouse and got an early approval from them which effectively cleared her for the college team. All that was left to do was the amatuer status evaluation (complete and sign questionaire then wait for final determination) and to send final grades after graduation. DD arranged for the school to do this during Sr year - I think they sent them the same day report cards were sent home.

Thanks all, I printed out the request form and she can take it in to guidance tomorrow. It doesn’t seem like it will be a big deal, looks like she’s probably not that late. Although when she logs into her account, ‘transcripts’ is red!
