Does anyone know of any countdown apps for the iPhone 5? I’m giving in I can’t wait anymore.

Try T-Zero Countdown Timer if u have iOS 7 @arnavg544

I hope its by gender. They probably can’t say that it is because of all the affirmative action stuff, but it makes sense.
UPDATE: All parts of my application are now showing up on UniApp. Now all I can do it wait.

It’s by gender.

@willsister1 I second @NintendoFan2298 . They definitely consider gender. I’m happy that you’re all done now! It’s takes a lot of the weight off of your shoulders, right?
@supremenoodle OMG, that thing you did when you said how many seconds there were left until results come out… MIND BLOWN. And the whole thing about kids applying just because their parents want to… I’m not going to get mad and rant against them because I know it’s not really their fault, it just makes me a bit sad to know that some spots might be given to people who don’t truly want them, and other students that really want to attend will be waitlisted. Ah, well. I wish you the best of luck against the 60 other people applying from your school! Fight, fight, fight!

This thread is really picking up speed! Every time I get on now, I have like 9 notifications from this thread!

@WhiteRabbit98 you’re so right! One month or two ago when I had first posted it was like page 5, now there’s like 30!

And thanks @supremenoodle ! just got it

@WhiteRabbt98 I’ll try And yeah, it really irks me how applying to NCSSM is basically a given for a large part of the sophomore class. They treat it like a joke. Then again, most of the people that actually have a shot are NOT the people that are applying for their parents. Trust me, they won’t be the ones taking up the acceptance spots.

On the other hand, the 25 or so people that are applying that are more self-motivated are INCREDIBLY qualified. For a few (4-5) I might go as far as to say INSANELY qualified, as in NCSSM practically has a slot reserved for them. I know at least 4 with 2300+ SATs.

They typically take around 15 from my school. I’m just fighting for one of those spots.

I’ve been working on my appeal statement: “If you don’t let me into your school, I’ll shoot myself in the head.”

@Snoutmol Haha! Short and to the point. As in, GUN point. HAHAHA… I’m sorry. ._.

@willsister1 Works for me, I see 2 from my county that graduated last year, and I only know of 1 other person that graduated from NCSSM from my school. I’m hoping I get accepted (it helps that I’m the only 1 from my school, i hope) but there’s also guilford county and stuff in my cd. That sucks that people apply just bc of family. I hope you both get in too! I only know like 2 people there now, but at least they’re juniors!
@WhiteRabbit98 Really? That’s a lot, I only know of 2 others in county and none from my school. The other 2 aren’t serious competition, but I’m definitely worried about the other people in my cd.

Do any of you guys have Skype? I saw it mentioned somewhere. It’d be nice to go in having some friends.

@supremenoodle Did you know that some people from our school LIED on the app? (Basically the people that don’t do crap throughout the whole school year but still want to go)

@songbird13 add me my skype is arnavg544!! If anyone has Facebook and wants to add each other I think that would be cool, I’m not going to post my full name here but if you private message me I’ll send you a link to my Facebook page.

And wow @chyang that’s pretty pathetic…

@chyang I bet they did, and I think I know who you’re talking about. This is one of the reasons everyone hates our school tbh

Still though…56 people…Enloe pls

@arnavg544 Yeah, it is. I personally think that if you have to lie to get in, it means that you don’t really deserve to go. But what are you going to do, right?

just sent the request @arnavg544 !

@WhiteRabbit98 Don’t worry, it really annoys me as well. It really upsets me that some parents force their kids to apply, who don’t want to apply. I feel like it takes spaces from people who have their heart set on NCSSM. The whole point of the school is to be self motivated, not to have your parents make you do things.

@willsister1 Yes! I whole-heartedly agree. I really hope that NCSSM can tell through the applications and give spots to students who are truly motivated to go. :)

Hey guys I am a sophomore from cd4 and and I got a 2100 SAT. I also have made AIME twice and I also play competitive tennis at a high level. I was just wondering if my SAT is a bit low especially in this competitive district and also I don’t know many people who are applying so I thought this would be a good chance to get to somewhat know people

@supremenoodle @arnavg544 Ok, good, that helps my odds; I’m the only girl applying from my school(:
@WhiteRabbit98 Yeah, this thread has become way more active
I feel like most of the people who are only applying because they were told to won’t get in because they lack the necessary enthusiasm! I really want to meet you all, you seem like really awesome people :)
