ND Regular Decision

I was wondering what my chances are for regular decision. I have a 4.1 GPA (weighted), 730 CR, 720 Math, 740 Writing. I've got very good extracurricular activities too, but what do u think based on the scores? Thanks.

Also, what are your stats for other applying regular decision?

I'd say good shot- That's a comparable GPA to mine, and an SAT total only 10 point lower than mine, and I just got in with a hastily written app. I've seen kids with much lower scores get in. Check out the ND EA 2013 thread to get an idea of what it takes to be a Fighting Irishman.

You should be fine matis609. are you from jersey? i am too....and i got in with a lower weighted gpa but higher SATs.

Im from Florida, not NJ

I had a very similar SAT score and a higher GPA, and I was rejected. Whats most important is class rank. If youre top 3 percent, you are in for sure my friend. Inside top 7 percent... then I say you have a great shot. Top 10 percent.... pretty shot. Top 15 %....ok ..

Goood luck my man.

My school doesnt rank, but its a really difficult private school. They send out a school profile that shows how difficult it is and the number of students in each GPA category. Does that hurt me? Also, is it harder to get in regular decision or ED/EA? Thanks.

Your stats are alright, what would push you over the edge for an acceptance would be if all your extra curriculars (and leadership positions) could be continued someway through ND clubs/activities. If the admissions don't see that you will use all that they can offer, your scores won't make much of a difference.

I've got a lot of extracurriculars- many honor societies and clubs. I think ND will like that I have been a captain of my varsity team for 3 years and have been on it since 6th grade. I have numerous awards for that sport, and I could continue that in intramurals.
